FULL-TIME KITCHEN MANAGER

Fly Llama Brewing is seeking a full-time kitchen manager with high energy, high standards, a passion for craft beer and food, and a sense of fly.  This person will oversee all food operations at our soon to be open mobile kitchen. This person will possess an open availability, solid hospitality management experience and work record, and the drive to build something incredible from the ground up,

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High-volume kitchen management experience
  • Two or more years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter
  • Basic business math and accounting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Calm demeanor and ability to coach/mentor
  • Basic computer skills (including Excel and food costing procedures)
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Passion for producing high-quality beer and food, and providing excellent guest experiences
  • Able to stand, reach, bend, and stoop for lengths of time

    TAPROOM MANAGER & LEAD BARTENDER

    Fly Llama Brewing is seeking to hire a Taproom Manager to be responsible for overseeing all daily functions of the brewery taproom while maintaining a positive work environment and providing a team-focused and innovative vision of excellence. The Taproom Manager reports directly to the owner and works in conjunction with the Head Brewer and Marketing Manager.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage day-to-day taproom operations to ensure the taproom has adequate support and the tools to be successful
    • Manage SOP checklists to ensure work is completed to service level and cleaning standards
    • Support the taproom team by overseeing opening/closing duties, assisting as needed
    • Bartend on peak days/shifts
    • Manage the cash drawers to ensure the appropriate amount of change is available
    • Ensure all necessary supplies are ready and available to the taproom team, re-stocking as needed
    • Ensure that a safe and secure environment is maintained
    • Communicate with vendors as needed, and assist with event set-up needs


    ADMINISTRATIVE & MANAGEMENT DUTIES

    • Cash & credit tip management
    • Manage the taproom schedule to ensure proper shift coverage
    • Maintain updated beer menu and merchandise inventory through Arryved POS system
    • Manage taproom inventory and ordering of supplies, including merchandise
    • Standardize operations in the taproom through SOP documentation

      PART-TIME SALES REP

      Fly Llama Brewing is seeking a part-time sales rep for the Mississippi Gulf Coast territory to help grow our brand by working with our distribution channel and key on and off premise accounts. The right candidate will have a passion for craft beer, strong communications skills, and the ability to build and foster meaningful relationships within the market.

      This position will work in conjunction with the brewery and our distributor. The sales rep will be responsible for managing Fly Llama’s market presence, brand awareness, and product representation. This person will understand the importance of our wholesaler and will work in tandem with them to form a cohesive approach to growing the brand. Additionally, the sales rep will educate retailers, restaurants, and bars about all things Fly Llama Beer.

      You will bring to the table:

      • Basic knowledge of the craft beer industry and a passion for great beer
      • The ability to forge new relationships and demonstrate the motto that no one is a stranger
      • The desire to grow with a young company and be a driver of success

      We firmly believe that in order to sell our beer, you need to know our beer. Training will include time in the brewery to learn about our processes and products.

      We are offering a competitive hourly wage. All hires will be required to pass their Cicerone Certified Beer Server Certification within 60 days of hire. We will cover the cost of this certification and provide you with all the tools you need to pass.

          Fly Llama Brewing is seeking an organized and self-motivated individual to work first shift in the brewery cellar and on the packaging line. Flexible scheduling is necessary. Days will vary depending on the packaging schedule.

          • Washing kegs

          • Dry hopping
          • Running the 7 head ABE canning line

          Essential Skills:

          • Must be extremely detail oriented
          • Mechanically inclined
          • Must be able to lift 55lbs and work in hot, cold, and wet environments

            PACKAGING LINE OPERATOR

            Fly Llama Brewing is looking fill the position of a Packaging Line Operator. The Packaging Line Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Fly Llama’s packaging equipment, as well as the cleanliness and organization of the areas of the production floor that packaging occupies. Successful Packaging Line Operators work with the brewing team to transfer finished beer from brite tanks into cans and/or kegs, while adhering to Fly Llama’s quality standards. Packaging and/or manufacturing experience is great, but the right attitude and work ethic is essential. Long hours in a hot and wet environment come with the turf. 

            Fly Llama operates a 2 and 10 bbl brewhouse with tanks ranging from 2-40 bbls and has an automated 8 head ABE canning line. We brew everything from lagers, to sours, to seltzers and everything in between. 

            Key Qualifications:

            • A Passion for craft beer and creating the best possible product 
            • Attention to the most minute details
            • Ability to multitask 
            • Flexible Scheduling depending on packaging needs
            • Forklift experience is a plus

            Essential Job Duties:

            • Assist in the cleaning and sanitizing of packaging equipment, including the kegging line and canning line. 
            • Assist in the completion of production reporting, as assigned. 
            • Communicate daily with Head Brewer to ensure the proper rotation and storage of finished goods and packaging raw materials. 
            • Communicate with the Head Brewer when issues are beyond an operator’s skill level. 
            • Clean and organize packaging areas. 
            • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, returning tools, equipment, and supplies to the appropriate storage areas after each assignment. 
            • Assist with the deep cleaning and maintenance of Fly Llama’s packaging equipment. 
            • Assist with other duties as assigned.

            Work Environment:

            • The noise level in a packaging facility is frequently loud. 
            • The employee regularly works with pressurized vessels.
            • The employee comes in contact with and has to handle sharp objects. 
            • The employee handles hazardous materials. 
            • The employee works near moving mechanical parts. 
            • The employee works on wet floors and with wet equipment. 
            • The employee works in a shared environment in close proximity to other team members.
