The Social Media Coordinator at Half Acre Beer Company is responsible for handling all aspects of social media for the business. This person will ensure photography and social posts are created on-time, up to our standards and meets our business needs. Also, this person will oversee the work of outside agencies, when necessary. Attention to detail, organization and creativity are the cornerstones of success in this position.


  • Responsible for creating the social media schedule and posting agreed upon content on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and any additional social media sites 
  • Maintain all social media function, including, scheduling, departmental content coordination, posting and dialogue response 
  • Responsible for keeping an eye on incoming messages and comments on social, responding when necessary/possible, and looping in the Founder with any questions with unknown answers, or any hint of a problem 
  • Coordinate with Hospitality Director/team on all art, graphic, photography and social media needs 
  • Respond to additional requests from Sales or FOH management for stories and newsletter mentions  
  • Create, publish and maintain all external newsletters 
  • Maintain the accuracy and efficacy of the Half Acre Beer website (releases, beer descriptions, events, etc.)  
  • Add new beers to Untappd and periodically clean up other/old entries  
  • Coordinate all Half Acre promotional campaign needs 
  • Participate in weekly creative meeting and be generally pushing and curious for the bettering of Half Acre’s creative engine overall  
  • Help when needed when outside photographers or videographers need access to Half Acre (coordination and hosting)  
  • Coordinate with outside firms, designers, and photographers on timelines 
  • Commitment to company safety program  


  • Must be 21+ years old 
  • Fluency in social media software including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, MailChimp and Sprout Social  
  • Fluency in Adobe Photoshop or other photo editing software  
  • Strong writing skills  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills  
  • Positive team player and collaborator  
  • Solid work ethic, a good attitude and willingness to learn  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with outside resources when necessary   


  • 2+ years in a social media management or creator role  
  • 2+ years in an office environment 
  • Basic Adobe creative software skills a plus 
  • Degree in media, marketing or art/design, or equivalent work experience   


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer
