Mark Anthony Brewing is hiring a Technical Packaging Manager that leads and coordinates organization wide efforts to ensure that our manufacturing and quality specifications are executed with the goal of crafting products of the highest quality. This individual provides leadership and coordination for improving the organization’s core operations, focuses on enabling internal/external customers to achieve improvements in a cost effective and efficient manner. This position is the Company’s front line resource to ensure that our manufacturing plants, co-manufacturers and suppliers are meeting our expectations and specifications.

As a Technical Packaging Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Perform internal and external benchmarking, analysis, target setting, and publishing of key performance indicators.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with co-manufacturers and suppliers to ensure consistency among processes and procedures.
  3. Management of the manufacturing process for our products with an emphasis on safety, quality and service while supervising losses at a plant level.
  4. Management of technical drawings and qualification process for packaging material.
  5. Management of the commercialization of innovation projects while scaling projects from concept to finished products.
  6. Management of proprietary information and processes.
  7. Measure performance against capital expenditure strategy and process manufacturing strategy.
  8. Identify and implement manufacturing process improvement opportunities.
  9. Communicate manufacturing process vision, strategy, and objectives within team.
  10. Improve efficiencies in our performance by collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data.

The Technical Packaging Manager position is well-suited for you if you possess:

  • Expert knowledge of beer packaging, IBD Packaging or equivalent certification / experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of glass bottling and canning operations and knowledge of high speed carbonated beverage production and packaging process and associated testing / quality assurance procedures, methods, and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of packaging material including can warranties, die line approvals, corrugate strength testing, can and glass bottle defects, etc. as well as testing and material qualification protocols.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with shown ability to negotiate and influence effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects at one time.
  • Experience initiating and leading capital projects from conception to completion including calculating return on investment and influencing decision makers for approval.
  • Ability to make quick decisions with limited information that are in the best interest of the company.
  • Strong analytical background including knowledge of statistical applications and tools.
  • Sophisticated level MS Excel skills required.
  • Shown understanding of ISO, GMP, and HACCP food safety as it relates to the manufacturing process.
  • Works optimally with others and chips in within an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Effective business systems problem solver with a good understanding of business process knowledge.
  • Proficient with personal computers and business applications.
  • Willing to travel approximately 50%.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or other with minimum 5 years carbonated beverage experience.
  • Project management experience (PMP Certification preferred)
  • 6+ years of validated experience in high speed, multi-sku beverage manufacturing and packaging facility in a direct operations or quality assurance role.
  • 4+ years of validated production experience in high speed, multi-sku beverage manufacturing and packaging facility.
  • Brewing and/or beverage experience preferred.
