POSITION PURPOSE 

To help Creature Comforts navigate its business by interpreting data, information and insight that helps create action  

BUSINESS ANALYST PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES 

Business Analytics and Reporting 

  • Compile executive summary reporting each month and distribute synopsis to leadership. 
  • Extract and clean centralized data across Production, Tasting Room and Commercial Sales. 
  • Evaluate and direct insight from previous month and year-to-date performance for each department. 
  • Track and evaluate Freshness and Distributor Inventory to maintain target levels within a 25% margin. 
  • Extract data from our Route Accounting software and ancillary applications to append into historical data set. 
  • Monitor Freshness and Distributor Inventory via Power BI 
  • Communicate trends and suggest action when brands diverge from targeted benchmarks. 
  • Utilize Excel, Power BI and other analytical platforms to provide dynamic and responsive reporting that supports the inquiries of departments. 
  • Ask questions, understand the problem, and support inquiries with data resources. 
  • SQL, DAX and Python experience is a plus  
  • Management experience required 

Commercial Sales Analysis 

  • Coordinate recommendations for seasonal/rotational brands across all relevant parties (Commercial Sales Team, Production, Distributor) that deplete within 2 weeks of target selling window. 
  • Analyze historical sales trends. 
  • Apply current changes to consumer behavior and market trends. 
  • Evaluate yield performance to coordinate and brew plan with production. 
  • Hold monthly department meeting to highlight trends across different commercial sales channels.  
  • Analyze the market under the following KPIs: 
  • Freshness 
  • Sales and Distribution 
  • Brand Performance 
  • Retailer Performance 
  • Receive feedback from Commerical Sales Team on their current and upcoming trends/activation. 

EXPERIENCE 

  • SQL, DAX and Python experience is a preferred 
  • Management experience required
