Pay: $50,000 - $55,000+ / year, depending on experience

PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS
• Formulate and maintain all recipes.
• Collaborate with Visionary to bring to life ideas and concepts as they are brought forward during the creative planning process.
• Write and manage production SOPs, ensuring relevancy and accuracy.
• Manage grain, hop, and chemical inventory. Order as necessary, ensuring adequate supply and no periods of dearth.
• Monitor and manage hop contracts.
• Set, monitor, and adjust temps on fermentation tanks to achieve optimal fermentation.
• Lead the creation and processing of wort/beer in Ekos.
• Coordinate spent grain disposal.
• Maintain and execute the brewery's barrel program.
• Ensure all production areas, inside and outside the brewery, are clean, safe, and OSHA compliant.
• Oversee the maintenance of all brewing and associated equipment.
• Manage and direct the Brewing Associate team – oversee task completion and ensure appropriate training and execution on all assigned responsibilities.
• Work closely with the Packaging Manager to create a Team Environment.
• Constantly be aware of areas in need of assistance within production operations and maintain a steady willingness to help as needed.
• Focus on QC/QA to ensure consistent products that meet all release requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers including but not limited to those of yeast, laboratory materials, grain, and packaging materials.
• Interview/hire/train new staff members.
• Lead production meetings.
• Set yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily production schedules.
• Maintain and prepare all yearly inspections with regulatory authorities.
• Manage safety trainings and implementation.
• Maintain brewery and production records on all relevant and appropriate platforms.
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules for all production equipment.
• Function as the key decision-maker for production-side questions of quality, schedule, and product.
• Availability between the hours of 7 am until 7 pm as needed, with on-site availability between 10 am and 4 pm. Shifts will range from 8 to 10 hours at a time.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• At least 21 years old.
• The ability to lift and move 55 lbs. independently, and 165 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 30”- 110” F.
• Ability to (once trained and/or certified) operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Three to five+ years professional brewing experience in a production brewery in the role of assistant/lead brewer or higher.
• Previous experience with an onsite canning line required. Experience with a Wild Goose is a huge plus!
• Attention to detail. It’s a safety requirement, a teamwork requirement, and a quality control requirement.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to continually learn about and make great Southern beer, with a passion or interest in local and seasonal ingredients.
• Constant display of a willingness to learn duties as they arise in correlation to growth and expansion.
• An intrinsic interest and curiosity about the brewing process, a desire to continue to grow and advance within brewing operations.
• An understanding the things can change quickly. The most important attribute for this position is flexibility, followed closely by quick learning.
• Experience with Ekos and Google Suite preferred
