River Barrel Brewing, Inc. (Buoy Beer Company, Pilot House Distilling and River Barrel Distributing) is seeking a Full Time Warehouse Associate to take ownership and pride in our craft beverages and spreading the love in the Pacific NW. The Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Warehouse Lead and works closely with other Managers and Leads in the company. We’re a hardworking and growing operation and are looking for the right person to grow with us. This individual is passionate, innovative, and self-motivated with a business oriented and organizational mindset.

Job Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Create and maintain organized, safe, and clean warehouse and production spaces (including sweeping, cleaning up around the premises)
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and effectively in a production environment with heavy pedestrian/visitor traffic
  • Safely and properly load and unload inventory to/from distributors
  • Regularly drive company box truck or van for pick up/ deliveries (including to Portland & Seattle)
  • Help manage and stage incoming/outgoing deliveries
  • Rotate stock as needed (FIFO)
  • Keep clear communication flowing with the Warehouse Lead and all other departments
  • Keep cooler(s) stocked for the restaurant
  • Check in-coming and out-going orders with associated paperwork for accuracy and damage
  • Follow and comply with all OR liquor laws, regulations, procedures & safety protocols
  • Jump in and help the packaging, maintenance, marketing/events, and sales teams as needed

Job Requirements:

  • 21+ with a clean driving record, valid driver’s license & insurance
  • Two years or more Warehouse, Delivery and/or Logistics experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Able to obtain CDL (not currently required)

• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

  • Able to multitask and organize multiple priorities – be able to change priorities on the fly
  • Self-motivated and able to problem-solve
  • Familiar with and practices all the necessary safety protocols for the position
  • Must be able to regularly lift and move kegs and cases (up to 160 lbs w/ assistance)
  • Stand, walk, sit, and drive for long periods of time
  • Regularly bend, reach, pull, push, lift and maneuver in small spaces
  • Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong computer skills and writing skills (MS Office, e-mail, etc.)
  • Experience with Inventory Management software is a plus (OBeer)
  • Familiar with safely using liftgates, pallet jacks, and forklifts
  • Able to work a flexible schedule when necessary, including evenings, weekends & Holidays
  • Take pride in our sustainable practices (recycling, waste reduction, etc.)
