Here’s what you will do… 

The SR Financial Analyst – Portfolio Optimization is responsible for the statistical and predictive analysis focused on portfolio optimization of the company’s current and future brands of distribution. This role will focus on getting the right mix of product to the right customers at the right place with the goal of maximizing sales and profits, while ensuring that shelf space is optimized. 

Here's more of what you will do...

Determines and guides the appropriate use of transactional data, syndicated data and other forms of secondary data available to understand customer changes in behavior throughout Brand, Sales and Planning teams.

  • Guides the exploration of statistical and predictive analysis techniques to be used in optimization and forecasting models. 
  • Ensures continuous improvement and accuracy of forecasting models.
  • Fosters strategic partnership with Brand Leaders by helping guide portfolio profitability decisions.
  • Develops KPIs that drive daily, weekly, and monthly measurement of execution against volume, revenue and profit forecasts with Brand support.
  • Leads collaboration with Customer Centric Planning team to ensure business planning goals are met.
  • Prepares for business planning meetings to ensure the Brand team has information to build a prescriptive activity plan in support of the quarterly Brand Plan with data and analytics.
  • Develops monthly/quarterly business KPIs, targets and annual rolling volume forecasts.

Advises and supports the Brand and Sales teams with key metrics and dashboard reporting in support of monitoring and tracking performance against revenue and gross profit plans.

  • Analyzes multiple levels of data across the Company, customer, financial and supplier data.
  • Defines data sharing policy and confidentiality across suppliers.
  • Collaborates with IT and Communications teams as needed to align processes and procedures.

Partners with Market Intelligence, Pricing Optimization, Category Management, Brand and Sales teams in delivering fact-based selling stories for high-value sales team calls that optimize both customer and Andrews’ profitability potential. (20%)

  • Attends meetings, gathers, researches and analyzes data to provide information identify, quantify, and predict consumer buying behavior.
  • Produces data, reports and presentations as need in support of sales processes and goals. 

Evaluates opportunities for growth, by supporting Brand Leadership in their effectiveness with shared key insights of the market changes in collaboration with the PMO team.

  • Partners with the PMO team to execute projects company-wide.

Here’s what you must have to be considered for this role…

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Finance, Accounting, Statistics or Other Related Field
  • Three to Five Years of Previous Experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting Analysis, Statistical Analysis and/or Business Analytics
  • Strong Communication and Relationship Building Skills
  • Strong Analytical and Analysis Skills
  • Advanced Statistical/Technical Expertise; MS Office (Excel), Financial Systems/Applications, Database Querying; Ability to Build Regression Models, Linear Programming (Optimization) Models in Revenue Management Using Excel and/or Other Appropriate Software Applications

Here’s what we hope you have…

  • Master’s Degree; Business, Economics, Statistics or Other Related Field
  • Experience Analyzing Revenue, Margins and Pricing Opportunities
  • Prior Project Management Experience
  • Working Knowledge of SQL or Data Query Tools
  • Knowledge of Statistical Applications such as R, SAS Tools, Alteryx

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist is required for filing and general office duties.
  • Exerts up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or negligible amount frequently to move office-related items or materials.
  • Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and other forms of documentation using company and industry software.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and see is required to communicate with employees, and to operate computers and office machinery.
  • Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills are necessary to operate computers and various office equipment.
  • Continual hand/wrist motion is required to operate computers and office machinery.
  • Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
