POSITION SUMMARY: The Equity and Inclusion Director is responsible for creating, implementing, and leading programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice throughout Bell’s. Reporting to the Executive Vice President the Equity and Inclusion Director will lead the DEI Champion committee and serve on the Senior Leadership Team. The director will engage employees, partners, and key stakeholders to build and maintain a culture of inclusion. The director will assess barriers and implement creative solutions that move forward Bell’s commitment to be diverse, equitable, inclusive, and justice seeking. This position requires an inspiring, collaborative, innovative, and visionary leader with experience in the craft beer world who possesses outstanding leadership skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
•Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.

•Establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships throughout Bell’s and serves as an expert by providing advice, support, and strategic planning with various levels of leadership in regard to equity and inclusion.
•Acts as an advocate/consultant to underrepresented employee groups to ensure all voices are heard.
•Serve as the E&I subject matter expert, consulting with senior leadership, HR, and other departments to understand and identify areas of opportunity to deliver on our strategies as well as providing educational resources and support.
•Work with partners throughout Bell’s to integrate diversity, equity and inclusion best practices into training, leadership, culture, recruitment, policies, processes and infrastructure.
•Research relevant HR, Equity, and Inclusion topics; reports findings and provide recommendations to HR Leadership.
•Develop framework and key programming objectives for an Equity and Inclusion Committee.
•Assess current DEI programming and resources. Collect and document practices, policies and initiatives related to DEI topics to develop proposals and strategies.
•Determines and evaluates benchmarking best practices regularly to identify opportunities to strengthen E&I efforts and monitors progress towards DEI goals.
•Develops and provides strategic direction on the internal E&I internship program which provides support and professional development opportunities to underrepresented employees in a variety of departments.
•Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues and best practices while adhering to all compliance and regulatory requirements
•Ensures proper documentation is implemented and updated as related to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for given projects.
•Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position
Partnership and Collaboration
•Monitor, evaluate and execute Focus Group program from design, recruitment, execution, analysis, and reporting.
-Identify key themes utilizing completed survey data from multiple sources and develop project objectives based on those themes.
-Coordinate with multiple groups to ensure inviting and comfortable round table environment for participants.
-Execute on several overlapping topics within short time frames.
-Analyze results using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
-Provide research findings on best practices and data findings to HR leadership group.
•Oversees “Bell’s Champions” committee, responsible for creation, execution, and training of E&I Champions throughout Bell’s locations.
-Provides Champions with thought leadership and coaching support.
-Assists new group members with implementation and training.
-Develops metrics and resources to evolve the Champion program that shows successful positive impact.
•Consults and collaborates with Bell’s recruiting team with building external relationships with key community outreach organizations optimizing our ability to attract and retain diverse talent ensuring to create recruiting models free of unconscious bias
•Partner with Training Manager and teams to implement programs, align goals and develop professional development workshops and events. Teach courses related to DEI and train others to provide workshops.
•Assists in the evaluation and application of Bell’s Benefits and Compensation programs to ensure equitable offerings and application.
•Partner with Marketing to design the marketing and communication of programs and updates to ensure awareness, outreach, and relevance
•Leads project planning and execution of our Celebration Program designed to highlight the achievements and recognition of underrepresented groups within our industry.
-Coordinate and create excitement around employee involvement.
-Develop process and guidelines in support of Celebration efforts.
-Collaborate with Celebration committee in the project planning and execution for collaboration beer production.
•Collaborate in the planning and event coordination in support of Celebration beer launch events with Marketing and Events departments.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
•Masters of Science (MS), Preferred; or a combination of education and experience
•5 + years of demonstrated progressive and strategic DEI focused experience
•Previous project management experience required with experience using data and analytics to drive change

•Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional trips to operational areas required.
•The noise level in the facility is frequently loud (80+ dB)
•Travel by air and ground will be required.
