The Environmental Health and Safety [EHS] Coordinator will assist the EHS Manager in implementing all company environmental health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, standards, and requirements. They will be relied upon to assist all areas of the company in establishing a proactive safety environment and culture. Individual will be focused on being primarily “in the field” and supporting daily safety and environmental operations. Additionally, individual will assist in security and contractor management. There will be some minimal travel for training and to support brewpub locations. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily management of ongoing safety and environmental operations including performing formal observations, risk assessments, training, paperwork review, and providing feedback to all employees and management. Programs include:Confined Space, Working at Heights, Electrical Safety, Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Work Permits, Workplace Transport Safety, First Aid and Emergency Response, Incident Investigation, Management of Change (MOC), Contractor Management, Ergonomics, Behavioral Safety, Hot Work, and Wastewater Monitoring.
  • Assist in the development and management of safety and environmental compliance for internal (AB InBev) and external (EPA, OSHA, DOT) requirements within all areas of the organization.
  • Assist in implementation of safety and environmental initiatives.
  • Conduct/assist with various internal and external EHS audits.
  • Conduct safety and environmental training and orientation with new employees, as well as, refresher training with all employees.
  • Conducts risk assessment to identify and control environmental and safety risks to reduce injuries and costs to organization.
  • Respond to and investigate safety, environmental, and security incidents.
  • Assist in external agency interface.
  • Assist in safety budget and maintaining proper PPE inventory.
  • Serves on cross functional safety and environmental committees.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Any combination of education and experience. 
  • Team oriented mindset
  • Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in any field. Training experience.
  • Preferred - Experience working in an industrial scale brewing operation or food production facility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking and presentation skills for training and companywide communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office related software. Excel and/or Smartsheet preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and other external regulatory agency laws and regulations.
  • The brewery is operating 24/7, three shift operation, ability to respond to emergency situations during all hours of operation and be able to support some overnight and weekend shifts as needed.
  • Strong written, oral, and listening communication skills. Ability to influence and skills to coach all levels of employee within the organization.
  • Ability to travel for training and brewpub support.
  • Must have excellent communication and time management skills.
