The August Schell Brewing Company is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our team in New Ulm, MN. This position will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Designers to help execute the marketing plan for our Schell’s, Grain Belt, and Starkeller Brands. They will implement our brand strategies by actively engaging on social media, designing items to keep our website looking fresh, working with our influencers, and so much more. It is a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever alike. And there’s beer, did we forget to mention that part?

Essential Functions

  • Executing the social media plan by scheduling out content and consistently engaging with consumers in a manner that is true to the personality of each brand and promotes growth for all social channels
  • Developing, designing, and implementing educational assets and initiatives that align with
  • marketing, social, and sales strategies
  • Implementing paid media efforts by placing social ads, monitoring, adjusting, and reporting on results
  • Carry out PR strategy by writing press releases, actively searching for new opportunities to gain exposure for the brands
  • Cultivate and maintain influencer relationships by ensuring contracts are properly executed as well as actively seeking out new partnerships, large or small
  • Collaborate with the marketing team creatively to launch new products and execute brand initiatives
  • Manage the Schell’s and Grain Belt websites to ensure all information is current and functional
  • Creating content, executing timely updates, collaborating with developers to consistently enhance our websites, and managing vendor relationships
  • Graphic creation following our brand standards and photo editing for social media, the website, and signage for our brewery and local distribution area
  • Coordinate POS orders from distributors and ensure process is completed from order placement to fulfilment
  • Update Untappd and other online platforms with the most up-to-date beers and brewery information to promote better customer experience

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
  • Flexible to work special events as necessary 

Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years working in a full-time marketing, graphic design, and/or social media communications role
  • Bachelor's degree with a demonstrated interest in marketing, graphic design, or communications
  • Graphic design experience utilizing Adobe Suite
  • Knowledge of both digital and out of home media 
  • Proven track record of executing a social media strategy that maintained a voice and garnered engagement 
  • Extensive experience with social media platforms and web-based applications
  • Working knowledge of current trends in digital and social media along with analysis tools such as Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Experience managing campaigns and optimizing budgets for paid social media ads
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Proficiency in managing Wordpress sites
  • Confidence, pride in work, attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of basic coding (HTML/CSS)
  • Photography
  • Simple video production and/or editing
