Brewer
Once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from an established brewer and eventually take over brewing at an established local brewery. Learn the tried and true classics of the house (IPA, Pilsner, Lager, Porter and others), and establish your own styles, recipes and vision. Work with the family ownership to scale, from a few hundred barrels annually on up, from tap-room only to localized distribution.
Hours are completely flexible. Profit sharing and bonus structure allow you to increase compensation significantly.
Brewer would be responsible for all operations of the brewery, from ordering grains and supplies, tracking kegs, operating the canning line, to cleaning and equipment maintenance. As we scale, there will be opportunities to oversee a staff budget.
Currently a wide range of beers are made annually, with local cider from heritage apples to be a growing cornerstone of the brewery. The brewery hosts events and music year round, on the indoor stage and in the outdoor beer garden. Demand is significantly seasonal, so there are considerable opportunities for PTO or reduced hours in the winter. A small kitchen will be opening this summer, with opportunities for pairings and on-site meals.
