Shift Manager is the entry-level management position at the Farm House that is reporting to the General Manager (GM). The Shift Manager is supporting the GM in daily operational tasks like the flow of service efficiencies and guest satisfaction. The Shift Manager is supporting the AGM and GM with the management of hourly staff (FOH) and completing new hire data entering / onboarding.

Responsibilities:

• Managing Floor Staff

Keeping flow of service efficient, taking care of voids/comps for issues related to guest satisfaction. Promoting positivity, helping them problem solve, conflict resolution between staff members, helping staff stay on top of their duties, and ensuring they maintain service standards. Elevate as needed to GM and AGM.

• Labor Cost Management

Effective cutting of floor staff to minimize labor cost.

• Guest Relations

Acting as liaison, ensuring guest satisfaction, intervention and conflict resolution.

• Fiscal Responsibilities

Handling and accounting for all cash transactions, credit transactions, properly accounting for and allocating voids & comps.

• Daily Maintenance & Cleanliness

Keeping interior and exterior premises clean, bathrooms clean, all service areas (including the bar), and the areas most directly affecting the guests’ experience, such as the cleanliness of the tables, chairs, floors directly under the tables, glassware on the tables, etc.

• Internal communication

Consistently updating fellow managers working on the shift and those not working, and asking questions of each other to keep information flowing throughout the day, inventory management.

• Quality Food Production

Work in conjunction with the kitchen managers to ensure every plate of food that goes out meets our standards.

• Training and Coaching

Supporting staff become more efficient and effective at their job

• Safety and Security

Promoting safe practices, noticing and rectifying unsafe conditions. Secure premises after closing.
