Title: Brewmaster 

Location: Connecticut, USA (must be willing to relocate)

Pay: $60,000 - $80,000 a year, negotiable for the right brewmaster

We are searching for a driven and creative individual who has a passion for creating the best beers. Whether you’re putting a fresh spin on existing recipes or crafting the perfect seasonal or specifilty brew, you understand that quality comes first. The Brewmaster will be hands on and willing to own the brewing process from start to finish. They will be eager to build out the business with the brewery owners. The Brewmaster’s responsibilities include cleaning tanks and other equipment used in the process process, selecting ingredients, crafting recipes, and testing the product. Brewmasters will also need to be able to manage team members, build rapport with suppliers, keep accurate records, and complete necessary paperwork. 

To be successful, Brewmasters must be communicative, passionate, thorough, and creative. Brewmasters must have an extensive knowledge about the brewing process and always put quality and safety first. 


Wort production

Vessel/Brewhouse CIP and sanitation

Assist in creating recipes and Standard Operating Procedures 

Yeast harvesting 

Handling raw materials 

Mentor and Train brewery personnel

Perform quality control and assurance tasks (lab and sensory evaluation)

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of brewery are and equipment

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and follow safe working practices

Keg cleaning 

Packaging and labeling

Assistant in barrel aging projects

Prepare shipments, load, and unload distributor trucks

Assist other brewery personnel as needed with non brewing activities 

Be a brand ambassador by working events, giving tours, and educating staff and customers 

Customer deliveries as necessary

Willing and able to work evenings and weekends 

Minimum Qualifications:

1 or more years product brewery experience required (Lead Brewer)

2 or more years home brewing experience (Assistant Brewer)

Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record

Brewing certification, diploma or degree a plus

Ability to multi-task while working in a safe and efficient manner

Ability to lift up to 60lbs

Proactive and takes initiative to problem solve 

Meticulous about sanitation and keeping things clean and organized

Mechanical aptitude is a plus
