Uinta’s Brewing’s Human Resources Manager is an integral member of the organization, providing both functional and empirical support to the Leadership Team by identifying and solving problems as well as nurturing a positive employee experience. Responsibilities for this role include staffing, compensation and benefits management, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and directly influencing the culture of the company. This is a unique position requiring a unique individual who has passion for cultivating strong relationships, while competently managing daily administrative tasks including filing, payroll, and related HR processes. 

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee all HR management functions for 60+ employees, including (but not limited to): employee relations, recruiting, staffing and on-boarding, training and development, benefits administration, payroll and compensation, performance management, retention, and exits
  • Plan and conduct all recruiting and staffing efforts, working closely with hiring managers on internal process and final selection
  • Design and implement new employee on-boarding procedures and long-term retention strategies
  • Manage the administration and data input of employee benefits plans, including all insurances, flexible spending plans, time off programs, and other company perks 
  • Manage performance management plan in coordination with variable bonus plan and merit increases
  • Manage employee-related recognition programs and company-wide activities, community outreach, and culture-enhancing events
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering policies and helping to resolve employee issues and conflicts 
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, compensation, performance appraisals
  • Manage compliance programs and ensure compliance with all local, state and Federal regulations
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently across the organization
  • Maintain company organization charts and employee directory
  • Serve as a link between management and employees while keeping appropriate employee information confidential and secure
  • Work with executive management to continue building an HR function that fosters a strong collaborative work environment

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum of two years in an HR generalist role, with escalating experience toward HR management
  • Bachelor’s degree required; PHR certification beneficial
  • Deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Experience growing a company in team size and complexity
  • Ability to foster a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
  • Detail-oriented, organized and a good team player
  • Responsive, customer service approach to employee needs
  • Strong organization and time management skills; attention to detail, able to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications; experience with ADP or similar HR platform preferred
  • Possesses excellent communication skills including oral, written and interpersonal
