The Packaging Operator is responsible for all facets of packaging operations, including keg cleaning, filling, can line operations, labeling and date coding, CIP, and quality assurance. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with previous canning experience.  Also open to training a new team member just getting into the industry.  

Specific Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities dependent on experience level at hire

  • Keg cleaning and filling  
  • Can line operation: Depal, Filler, Dryer, Filtec, Date coder, Packtech, Cartoner, Tray packer
  • Can seam teardown and inspection  
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of packaging equipment and brewery facilities    
  • Labeling operations and date coding 
  • Performing routine maintenance as needed 
  • Handle dangerous chemicals according to safe practice, SDS, and IABC SOP’s
  • CIP of Canning equipment   
  • Changeovers of equipment and staging
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Timely and accurate record keeping 
  • Measuring O2, CO2 and N2. Setting and maintaining proper head pressures
  • Securing and organization of packaged beer from the production line into cold storage   
  • Organization and inventory maintenance of raw materials and finished goods
  • Proper labeling, storage, and transportation of goods, with attention to detail in batch rotation and FIFO
  • Maintaining clean and orderly cold box and warehouse and production spaces
  • Pick and pack orders for raw materials and finished goods to be transferred to within the production space and between the two facilities
  • Pick and pack orders for outgoing sales
  • Unloading and loading of trucks
  • Cross checking packing lists for accuracy and reporting receipt to Warehouse Supervisor
  • Inventory counting of raw materials and finished goods 
  • Recycling collection, organization, and packing for pickup 
  • Adherence to safety rules and all relevant rules and regulations
  • Any and all other tasks as outlined by the Maintenance & Packaging Manager

Job Skills Required: 

Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, ability to learn and navigate HMI’s)

Certifications/Licenses Required:

Forklift experience preferred

Educational Requirements: 

HS Diploma or Equivalent 

Experience Requirements:  

21 years of age or older

Previous experience in a beverage manufacturing industry a plus 


The anticipated schedule for this role is M-F 8a-4p. 

Physical Requirements:

Up to date Covid-19 vaccination

Able to twist, bend, kneel, work in a loud, wet factory environment every shift

Able to regularly lift/carry 44-pound boxes

Able to regularly lift/carry 55-pound bags above waist level

Reports to Maintenance & Packaging Manager


  • Hourly, non-exempt 
  • $19-$25/hr based on experience
