COOP Ale Works is an eleven-year-old production/packaging craft brewery located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma’s heartbeat and home of a growing craft beer scene. Current distribution includes Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri and Texas. The warehouse and packaging assistant position will function in all tasks and materials assisting setting up, running and shutting down the appropriate equipment for kegging and canning beer and seltzer.
- 1-week immersion with packaging team Operation of can filler, keg filler and all associated equipment Report daily progress, challenges and concerns to Packaging Lead Assist in preparation and execution of weekly orders Maintain clear direction and professionalism in the face of challenges and adversity Maintain high levels of efficiency and follow proper protocol Work with QA/QC department to maintain packaging standards Work varying shifts Maintain a clean working and packaging environment Knowledge and compliance with all safety protocol and PPE implementation including but not limited to masks and social distancing
Absolute (don’t apply without these)
- Must be 21 years of age or older Able to receive a license from Oklahoma ABLE Commission Self-motivated, self-starter with ability to excel in instances of limited direction Excellent interpersonal, communications, problem solving and conflict resolution skills Dedicated sense of urgency and drive to achieve objectives Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with varying levels of importance and difficulty Mechanical intuition Ability to lift 50 lb shoulder high and 100 lb waist high Ability to climb stairs and ladders Ability to work on your feet for an entire shift Competence with all forms of safety protocol Detail oriented and diligent record keeper Ability to work nights and weekends Desire to work hard, play hard and get things done
- Food or beverage packaging systems and process experience Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment (ex. Forklift/Auto jack) Familiarity with beer and brewing processes
Salary and Benefits
This position offers a starting wage of $16.00 an hour.
