This role is primarily responsible for managing a distributor relationship and working with Fort Point accounts within that distributor’s geographical footprint. The key focus of this selling position is to  drive and grow sales of Fort Point beer with a specific distributor, both in existing accounts as well as prospecting to uncover new accounts.

The Brewery Representative is responsible for creating and building relationships with accounts within the distributor’s footprint. This includes selling to both On Premise and Off Premise accounts with the focus of  growing sales and market share through both maintaining existing points of distribution with current SKU shelf placements and tap handles, as well as growing sales through adding new placements.  In this capacity as a salesperson representing Fort Point, this position requires  working as a team with the distributor partner, and to work in the field independently. This position will span multiple cities and counties. The Brewery Representative will spend approximately 80% of their time in the field focused on sales execution.


  • Sales: Pursue new On and Off Premise business. Make an average of 10 new account calls/visits per week (existing accounts additional business; non-buy accounts; net new accounts)
  • Meet and/or exceed quarterly goals for growth with your distributor
  • Monitor inventory with your distributor to ensure adequate levels of stock on hand
  • Manage code dates, swaps and any will-calls with all associated paperwork with the distributor
  • General Sales Meetings (GSM): Must attend and may present at all GSM’s with assigned distributor
  • Coordinate with Distributor Sales Manager on executing, and managing a Fort Point sales incentive program with your distributor
  • Contribute to content development and participating in annual ABP meeting with distributor
  • Build and maintain a close relationship with the distributor’s Brand Manager and sales team
  • Own the events schedule and execution of in field events with your distributor

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Must have own vehicle for transportation around territory

  • Strong communication skills: verbal, listening and written

  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Previous Sales experience


  • Strong competitive intelligence within the marketplace
  • College degree or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license & clean driving record
  • Experience with CRM platform(s)
  • Experience with VIP and Karma


  • Being able to lift, push and/or pull 35lbs. on a regular basis (cases)
  • Having the ability to push, pull, and manipulate 165lbs (kegs)
