Job Summary:

Farmers Brewing Co. is searching for an experienced and passionate Restaurant/Taproom manager to lead and manage the new facility in the Tank District of Meriam Park. The manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring the end goal of providing the best customer experience is obtained and maintained. The manager will be responsible for leading, training, and cultivating a first-class team, as well as ensuring all aspects of the business meet or exceed budgeted expectations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating daily restaurant management operations
  • Ensuring consistent and timely quality food and beverage service
  • Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints
  • Coordinating daily Front and Back of the House restaurant operations
  • Establishing a daily cleaning schedule and a culture of cleanliness from day one
  • Maintaining a spotless facility
  • Staffing, hiring, training and scheduling of staff
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Evaluate staff performance and conduct employee reviews
  • Continuous evaluation of operational productivity
  • Employee praise, discipline, and firing
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Restaurant supply inventory management and ordering in conjunction with kitchen manager/chef
  • Collate and disseminate weekly reporting for sales & budget status
  • Create informational weekly reports
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication
  • Engage with customers to effectively meet or exceed guest satisfaction expectations
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Education and Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role (3-5 years)
  • Proven customer service as a manager
  • Experience in event planning

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: days, nights and weekends
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with POS systems, Square etc.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers in a professional manner
  • Possess the ability to multi-task and maintain attention to details in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment
  • Have a strong understanding of the craft beer industry
  • Knowledge of draft systems; be able to change kegs
  • Know and follow current ABC laws; possess LEAD Certificate
  • Be self-motivated
  • Knowledge of restaurant equipment and oversee maintenance

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:

This position requires the regular use of a POS system, a computer, printer, copier, telephone, scanner, calculator, etc.

Computer Software: Square, Keg ID, EKOS, Google G-Suite, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists. (Reasonable accommodations can be made if necessary)
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
  • High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product

Environmental Conditions:

While performing the duties of this position, the worker is exposed to inside environmental conditions, extreme heat, potential for physical injury, exposure to hot fluids, pressurized vessels and transfer lines, strong odors, chemicals, and moving machinery
