Events Manager for Trophy Brewing, Young Hearts Distilling, State of Beer, and Maywood Hall and Garden

Trophy Brewing Company is expanding its Catering Department, and looking for the perfect candidate to add to our team! This individual will be responsible for all special events with a concentration on social bookings, and assisting our other events manager in times of peak business and corporate bookings.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Office Responsibilities:

-Following up on leads for social functions and convert them to bookings, these include but are not limited to: engagement parties, graduations, rehearsal dinners, weddings, and more!

-Creating floor plans for events

-Preparing detailed outlines of each specific event needs, timelines and staffing requirements

-Organization and management of company documents

-Assistance in maintaining and improving event item inventory

-Weekly meetings with onsite teams to review upcoming events

-Enhancing and creating event checklists

Onsite Responsibilities:

-Leading and managing onsite tastings and tours prior to bookings and events

-Arranging, organizing, and executing events while following all company and safety standards

-Set up all items following all health and safety qualifications for food and serving ware

-Set up, decorate, and prepare serving and dining areas per specific directions and floorplans

-Showcase food and décor in an attractive and appetizing way per the event specific notes

-Onsite lineups with staff prior to beginning of event

-Open and clear communication with kitchen on expectations and timelines

-Point of contact for totality of event for flawless service, and introduction to closing MOD for payment prior to leaving (at predetermined times)

-Serve food and beverage with a positive and courteous demeanor when needed.

-Effective problem solving and troubleshooting in an effort to provide an optimal experience

-Restock clean equipment and utensils to proper storage areas noting any damages

Position Expectations and Requirements

-Exceptional interpersonal skills, great customer service and guest relations

-Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask

-Significant commitment and attention to detail

-Excellent time management skills and ability to work in high pressure situations

-Self-motivation, enthusiasm and willingness to learn

-Team management Experience

-Highly professional appearance and demeanor

-Ample computer skills to utilize booking software, quickly respond to emails, and create menus for events & bookings

-Must often work holidays, weekends, and evenings as most events occur during these times.

Compensation for this position is based upon experience, ranging from $35,000-$40,000 annually plus 3% service fee on any social function booked, as well as 1% service fee on any corporate contracted event.
