Senior Procurement Manager

As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading a highly efficient and impactful Procurement Program as part of the Supply Chain and Planning team. You will own and manage the company’s strategy and execution of all materials sourcing, purchasing and related supply chain activities. This is a full-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and foster relationships with key suppliers, manage supplier evaluation and performance.
- Initiate new supplier prospecting. Manage vetting, negotiating and new supplier onboarding.
- Collaborate across the organization to understand both procurement and supply chain workflow needs and opportunities.
- Lead the sourcing, purchasing and tracking of materials and implementation of overall purchasing strategies to drive efficiency and improvement.
- Partner with Operations and Sales to ensure high plan attainment metrics (e.g., Production Schedule Performance, Fill Rates, cost, obsolescence, days supply on hand, etc.).
- Partner with Logistics, Accounting and Finance to ensure inventory, invoicing and reconciliation systems are maintained with accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in development and execution of company-wide controls and SOPs for procurement and purchasing.
- Stay current on Supply Chain and Procurement best practices, advocate adoption to ensure ongoing improvement.
- Become highly knowledgeable and efficient in the company ERP system (SAP) and ensure all physical movement and spend happen in tandem in the ERP system to avoid loss and variance.
- Proactively and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth, predictable, and transparent production workflow and planning.
- Develop operational performance dashboards to report on key metrics and the health of the procurement program.
- Develop a constructive environment of accountability, contribution, learning and camaraderie.
- Promote a team safety, quality and compliance mindset. Ensure company policy adherence.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in dynamic, sometimes unstructured start-up environment who is willing to roll up their sleeves and support all aspects of the business.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of cross-functional procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and execute successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with vendors in person, over the phone and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering or Manufacturing/Operational Management preferred.
- Advanced SAP Experience.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: APICS/CPIM certification, Lean Six Sigma, PMP/PMI certification, or training would be considered a plus.
