Position: Taproom & Events Manager
Location: Marina Bay, Quincy, MA
Start Date: Flexible
Job Type: Full-time salaried position
Schedule: Night and weekend work as required - at least two weekends per month to be coordinated with General Manager
Salary: $45,000-$55,000 depending on experience
Education: High school or equivalent

We are looking for a driven and organized individual to join our family as our Taproom & Events Manager. The individual will be expected to perform all the tasks and activities associated with managing Break Rock’s Taproom/Retail environment.
The Taproom and Events Manager will report directly to Break Rock’s General Manager. Your ideas and input will be heard, considered, and applied. This is an integral role and well suited for an individual who has initiative, takes pride in the little things, and understands how to deliver a customer-centric approach. The General Manager you will be working under is exiting this role and will be available to train and support your onboarding. Systems are turnkey and built - ready to use and improve!

Taproom Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, organized, clean, well-stocked, and friendly Taproom environment
- Communicate effectively with and respond promptly to management inquiries, assignments, and deadlines
- Listen to feedback from staff and customers and generate ideas and changes to share with management for operational improvement
- General Taproom Operations: Opening / closing, ordering / inventory of consumables, taproom cleanliness, create and maintain taproom atmosphere
- Maintain Taproom and Staff Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and service standards
- Support floor service during regular shifts and as needed
- Responsible for or all cash handling at start/end of shift
- Co-manage company POS system (Arryved). Support / management, Reporting / backend, cash handling / tip handling, menu management
- Maintaining Taproom Operations, including but not limited to:
- Daily beginning/end of shift cleaning
- Management of contracted cleaning and support services
- Inventory/(re)stock management of to go beer, merch/apparel, snacks, NA bev, cleaning and facility supplies, etc
Event Responsibilities:
- Planning, booking, organizing, coordinating, and providing support services for private and public events. Includes set up / break down, tab / event deposit management
- Manage booking (including calendar management) and coordination for all events. Examples may include live music, charity nights, beer releases, booking of pop-ups, etc

Requirements:
- 21 or older
- Minimum of one year of experience in restaurant, hospitality, or event industry
- Good organizational and communication skills with the ability to both receive feedback and offer ideas
- Comfort in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
- Quick learner who is able to work with minimal or no supervision
- Ability to push, pull, bend, and lift more than 50 lbs. as needed
- Must be able to stand, walk for long periods of time
- Ability to work early, long hours with flexibility and the ability to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary to ensure product delivery
