Job Description: Is crafting beverages your passion? Are you interested in learning about the emerging hemp cannabis beverage industry? Do you enjoy the process of making beverages? You may be the perfect fit for our cellar/ brewer position. 8th Wonder Brewery is expanding and looking to add members to the team! We're looking for highly motivated people with a high attention to detail and an affinity for technical brewing. In this role you will have to maintain and execute all functions according to policy and procedure, safety requirements, and best practice. Tasks include but are not limited to all aspects of raw materials handling, work production, fermentation monitoring, yeast pitching, clarification, finished beer monitoring, equipment CIP, and general sanitation.
Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Execute all cleaning, sanitation, and preparatory tasks for tanks to receive wort and finished beer
- Wort/Seltzer Production
- Milling Grains
- Cleaning and Sanitizing of Fermenters
- Check specific gravity of fermenting beer to ensure dry hops and yeast harvests are done at the optimal time
- Ensure that all beer is produced to standards and specification by following recipes and procedures as set by the Operations Manager
- Ability to assist in canning line process when needed
- All team members are responsible for multi-tasking and applying broad & complete knowledge of the entire brewing process. Producing the highest quality beer is our number one goal.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma - Formal brewing education or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to work and communicate well with all staff
- Organized and detail oriented; accurate record keeping skills
- Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to safely operate a forklift/pallet jack- Forklift certification a plus
- Ability to follow all safety guidelines and regulations for a manufacturing facility- any safety certifications a plus
Physical Requirements:
• Lift 55 lbs from ground to shoulder high
• Lift 110 lbs from ground to waist high and moving 150 lbs along the floor
• Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders
• Work in warehouse style settings
• Work safely with chemicals
• Work safely in loud environments
