Head brewer position available at Firehouse Grill in the Blue Ash suburb of Cincinnati OH:
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee and develop recipes from grain to glass.
Plan and manage the brewing and kegging to efficiently meet demands.
Source all raw materials
Ensure our 3 flagship beers are in stock
Strive for continuous improvements in beer quality, consistency, and cost.
Ensure that the brewery equipment and production area is kept clean, organized, and in good working order to meet quality, sanitation, and safety standards.
Troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
Oversee brewery safety protocols
Communicate with sales team tasting notes.
Requirements:
Must have experience as a head brewer or assistant brewer in a commercial setting
Must be a self-starter and independent worker
Must be able to life 50lbs, transport kegs via dolly, climb stairs, and perform the manual requirements that the brewing process requires.
Great work/life balance. Candidate can set own hours. Previous brewer preferred to work 20-30 hours per week. As long as our flagship beers are in stock, this position offers flexibility.
