Duties

Responsibilities will cover all areas of production and packaging, as well as general labor in the facility. As a direct report to the Production Manager, the Production Operator will assist or perform, as assigned, in the areas of infusion, fermentation, distillation, re-distillation, bottling, canning, R&D, quality control, lab, inventory management, maintenance and compliance. Additional duties will be assigned to accommodate changing business objectives.

The Production Operator will ensure that all bottling and canning line materials are in place to meet daily production runs; run and troubleshoot the bottling or canning line; pack into boxes and palletize cases to ready for shipment; clean and sanitize all areas and equipment, pre and post production; handle raw ingredient and finished good inventories; process infusions; operate filtration equipment; maintain accurate paper and digital records in company format; perform general plant and equipment preventative maintenance and upgrades; perform testing and lab work as assigned; perform administrative tasks as assigned; operate distillation equipment; operate forklift in accordance with mandated safety standards; operate motor vehicles, and operate any additional plant equipment not previously mentioned.  

Requirements

All individuals on the team will be expected to cross-train and learn to operate all equipment.

To be successful in the Production Operator position at Greenbar Distillery, an individual shall:

• Have working knowledge of basic math and chemistry, online spreadsheets, clean operating practices and some quality control/assurance experience
• Meet or exceed production requirements and quotas
• Communicate problems and issues effectively in order to keep the operation running
• Work in a team environment with a courteous and ambitious attitude
• Be productive while maintaining high quality standards
• Adhere to rules and company policies, especially safety rules
• Adhere to company time and attendance schedules
• Learn new skills and complete training as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, a Production Operator is required regularly to stand, walk, climb, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and listen. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific abilities in this job include close distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a damp environment with hot liquids, airborne particles, chemicals and moving machinery. 

Pay & Benefits

Pay is $20 - $26 per hour DOE. The hours of work are presently 7:00AM to 5:30PM, Monday through Thursday, and may change according to business objectives. Mandatory overtime may be required.

This position is designed as a non-exempt position requiring an individual spends more than 50% of each work week performing the tasks outlined in this job description.
